Diving in Komodo National Park

The best time to dive in Komodo is during the dry season, which starts in April and lasts until October. At this time the sea is calm and sunny all day. This is the ideal time to visit the northern and central dive sites. From November to December is the rainy season, when the weather can be unstable and the currents very strong. However, this is an excellent time to watch manta rays and dive at the southern sites.

January and February are the peak of the rainy season, when the weather is often unpredictable and the harbor captain sometimes prohibits all ships from going to sea.
The weather has been getting better since March, but it is still not ideal for diving.
