Agung is one of the active volcanoes in Indonesia and the highest point in Bali. Its height is 3142 meters above sea level. Locals believe that gods live at the top of the volcano - and call it “the great mountain.” There are many legends associated with Agung. They all say that the volcano protects Bali from evil forces and is the spiritual center of the island. It is visible from almost everywhere – and always arouses admiration.
Pilgrims and tourists have always sought to conquer it. Climbing Mount Agung is a difficult challenge even for people with excellent physical fitness. You have to climb a steep rocky slope at an angle of 45 degrees. The ascent will take from 4 to 6 hours and the descent will take exactly the same amount. All this time, the knees are under heavy stress.
But the sunrise at the top of the “great mountain” is worth it! Behind the clouds - where the gods live, you will see how the sun wakes up and touches the earth with its first rays. These are magical moments!

At the time of the meeting, the driver of the transport company will arrive at your hotel or villa. You must wait for the car at the hotel reception or at the entrance to the villa. When all participants are assembled, the transfer will go to the foot of the volcano. Your guide will meet you at the parking lot. He will give you flashlights for the hike.
Climbing Volcano Agung
You will make your first rest stop after 45 minutes of travel. The subsequent number of stops along the route depends on the physical fitness of the participants. In the first 2 hours you will cover two thirds of the journey. The remaining third is the most difficult section: you have to climb a slippery rocky slope at an angle of 60 degrees with an elevation gain of 1900 meters.
At dawn you will reach the top of the volcano. Here you will be offered a sweet breakfast - Bang Bang bars, goodtimes cookies, fried bananas, as well as tea and coffee. You will have 1 hour to admire the breathtaking views and take photos. After this, you will begin your descent back to the base of the volcano.
A driver will be waiting for you in the parking lot.
Return transfer
After all the guests are assembled, we head to your hotel. The time of arrival at the hotel depends on traffic jams and the distance of your hotel.

The weather in the Agunga volcano caldera is unpredictable, with fog, rain and low visibility possible during the ascent, especially during the rainy season;
